
Mentor Certification for School Teachers. A University of Life (UOL) initiative to Empower Teachers in India.
At University of Life we thought of creating a powerful training initiative to help School Teachers in India: Enhance their Personality, Teaching technique, Personal Effectiveness, and Inter-personal Skills for 21st century class-room teaching. This led to the creation of ‘M CERTIFIED’ - Mentor Certification for Indian School Teachers
Why this program?
Two strong observations forced us to think of creating a course for the empowerment and modernization of teachers in India. These are:
1. It is a new class-room every day – in this fast changing world. The learning needs, behaviors, attention spans, mindsets, pressures – of the 21st C learners, are changing very quickly too. The new age child is much more demanding, much more sensitive and much more exposed. Today children in India are exhibiting habits and behavior patterns that were completely unheard of a decade ago.
2. We know zillion times more about the human brain and mind than we ever knew. Breakthrough discoveries in the fields of Neuro-science, Neuro-linguistics, human psychology, educational psychology and teaching pedagogy has revolutionized the modern classroom. We observed that this research has not yet benefitted the otherwise dedicated and hard-working Indian teacher.
These two observations led to the creation of our Teacher Empowerment Workshops. The broader objective that we intend to achieve through these workshops is:

This is about thinking. Different forms and categories of knowledge and thinking and how awareness of these can be used to increase the IQ of students. It also deals with how environment, behavior, capability, beliefs and identity fit together for personal resource optimization.
Module 8
How language sets limits on our experience and how we can go beyond those limits. The art of asking key questions that clarifies what students think, feel, believe, say and understand.
Module 9
This module helps teachers understand ways and processes that can make learners unlock the vast reservoir of intelligence lying dormant within. It also deals with few teaching devices that can revolutionize the effectiveness of the teaching process.
Module 10
In this module we explore patterns, erratic behaviors, alignment, values, and flexibility in the classroom context. It also covers the techniques to manage classroom more effectively by reaching agreements with the learners in conflict situations quickly and easily.
Module 11
This module deals with the super three classical, classified, and powerful techniques for changing student behaviors and habits.
Module 12
It is a very strong module for teachers weak in spoken English. It is a signature workshop of University of Life called – SPEED ENGLISH.
